About this score

The Limited-stage IPI (LIPI) was developed on 1054 adults with newly diagnosed, PET-determined stage I–II DLBCL treated with rituximab-chemotherapy ± radiotherapy across Australian, UK, Canadian and US sites (2013–2019), using a Cox proportional-hazards model under repeated cross-validation (training n=845, validation n=209).

LIPI outperformed the historical stage-modified IPI in both the training cohort (Harrell's C 0.69 vs 0.60) and the validation cohort (0.64 vs 0.59), with risk-group separation preserved on validation.

The score is the linear predictor of the Cox model. It has no units and is interpreted only through the risk-group thresholds above.

For use by qualified clinicians only. This calculator reproduces a published prognostic model and is intended to support, not replace, clinical judgement. It gives a risk-group estimate derived from a population, not a prediction for an individual patient, and must not be used as the sole basis for any treatment decision.
